5. Intellectual Property

Service Content

All code, design, graphics, interface elements, and functionality provided by Jigsaw Puzzle Online are owned by us or our licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or transmit any of this content without our written permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any images, text, or media you upload and use to create puzzles. However, by uploading content to the service, you grant Jigsaw Puzzle Online a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:

Compliance

You represent and warrant that:

  • Your content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Your content is accurate and not misleading

Content Removal

We may remove, modify, or flag any content that violates these terms, is illegal, or is reported by other users. We are not responsible for any loss of content due to deletion or other actions.

Jigsaw Puzzle Online uses third-party services including:

  • Supabase - for authentication, database, and storage
  • Colyseus - for real-time multiplayer synchronization
  • Cloud hosting providers for server and data storage

We are not responsible for these third parties' services, terms, or policies. Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and conditions. We encourage you to review their privacy policies and terms of service.

8. Disclaimers

AS-IS Service

Jigsaw Puzzle Online is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components.

No Warranty

We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

Data Loss

While we implement security measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee protection against loss, corruption, or unauthorized access. You are responsible for maintaining backups of important data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

In no event shall Jigsaw Puzzle Online be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any and all claims arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

Real-Time Multiplayer Data: During active multiplayer sessions, real-time data such as cursor positions, live chat messages, and temporary session states are ephemeral and not permanently stored. We are not liable for loss of such data or for any disruptions during live gameplay.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability, so these disclaimers may not apply fully to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jigsaw Puzzle Online and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

You agree that any legal action or proceeding related to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Slovenia. However, if you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

Your continued use of the service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you may discontinue your use of the service.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed from these terms, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.

The parties' intent is to enforce these Terms of Service to the fullest extent possible, and if one provision is invalid, we will mutually agree to replace it with a valid provision that achieves the original economic and legal effect.
